Curricular guide book for headmasters released

Minister for school education & SCERT Yitachu on Wednesday released a curricular guide book for five days course outline for headmasters.  

This course will be launched by March this year at the newly established State Institute of Educational Management & Training (SIEMAT), here.   SIEMAT team has identified a capacity building programmes for the headmasters in Nagaland, believing that with such the headmasters will hone their administrative and leadership skills so as to become effective educational school heads.  

This five days training proposal is being made for 52 headmasters, one headmaster each from 26 SDEO establishments in Nagaland.  

Currently, there are more than 300 headmasters in Nagaland. There will be four core courses namely; Educational Policy & Administration, Planning & Finance in Education, School Leadership Development and Job Management. Additionally, there will be one minor course on information and communication technology and innovation in education.  

Apart from the courses, there will also be sessions reserved for short field trips to some private schools, guest speakers and interaction with eminent officers from education sector.
