Wokha: The Child Welfare Committee, Wokha district held a meeting on March 4 and deliberated to reach the unreached juvenile child through the stakeholders to avail various schemes made available to the needy child who are in need of care and protection under the umbrella of State Child Protection Society, Nagaland.
Attempting to create more awareness, the CWC Wokha decided to propose holding of sensitization programme beginning at Wokha followed at Sanis and Bhandari block levels. The CWC Wokha discussed about the future action plan to be executed to which the Committee sought full cooperation of government agencies. CWC Wokha Chairperson Dr KC Murry in a press release stated that a team of CWC members visited Morning Star Orphanage Home, the lone orphanage home at Wokha district, sponsored by the Indian Council of Child Welfare and Nagaland Council of Child Welfare.
The Committee observed that the wellness of the Children was maintained. The environment of the Morning Star Orphanage Home is found to be congenial and homely and the members were impressed and satisfied. The Committee encourages the proprietor to increase the intake capacity of such children who are in need of care and protections.
