Mokokchung, July 29 (MExN): Rev. Dr. Nokjung Tzüdir was commissioned as missionary to serve worldwide on July 29 at Changki Yimlang Baptist Church (CYBC). Tzüdir retired as pastor of Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) in April 2018.
He was commissioned by Rev. Dr. Nuklu Longkumer, Church & Mission Secretary ABAM, Impur at a simple but solemn devotional service at Changki Yimlang Baptist Church, Changki, informed a press release from CYBC pastor, L. Moa. Senior Pastor Rev. I. Wati Jamir spoke on behalf of DABA and testified Tzüdir as a humble servant of God and a worthy preacher of the gospel with rich experience of more than three decades as a pastor at DABA.
Tzüdir will attend a missionary orientation course in Shillong from September 24 till the end of November 2018 before he embarks on his mission journey.
The press release informed that CYBC has tied up with Worldwide Evangelization for Christ International (WEC) to sponsor him “in response to the Biblical call of the great commission and making disciple of all the nations.”
This is the first mission project of the CYBC in its 70 years of God’s faithfulness to go beyond India, with the purpose of evangelization and church planting across the globe, it added.
Based in Singapore, WEC International was founded in 1913 by Charles Studd, a British cricketer and missionary with an objective for “evangelization of all the unevangelized regions of the world.”
It is an interdenominational mission agency that focuses on evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. WEC is at present rendering mission service with 1300 missionaries in 80 countries, according to the release.
