Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): The Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) has appealed the public to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the Government for appropriate COVID-19 pandemic behaviour.
In a press release on Monday, the CYF stated that the second wave of the pandemic which has swept across the globe and the worst hit being India has arrived at our door step. “There is no room for complacency as this dreaded disease is far from over and our carelessness can cause a major catastrophe which is already happening in many parts of the country,” it stated.
Stating that there is no immediate solution to this pandemic except adherence to the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour which can break the highly infectious chain, it requested citizens not to go out unless it was very important and unavoidable.
The CYF further acknowledged the Government for various steps taken to protect the citizens of the state since the outbreak of pandemic. It also paid respect and pledged support to all the frontline warriors who are working tirelessly in this unprecedented situation and assure to extend its sincere cooperation as and when required.
