Host of the day encourages organic farming, promoting tourism

The ongoing youth festival cum Sükrünye organized by Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS) entered third day today in Phek Town.
Dr. Er. Vekho Swuro, who was the host of the day, called upon the people to continue to show good gesture to the neighbouring villages as Phek Town being a district HQ.
He also encouraged the people to take up organic farming and at the same to focus on tourism promotional activities to boost the rural economy.
Further, Swuro challenged the youth to be agent of change and act wisely and truthfully in their approaches. Vekhrolo-u Koza presented special number while the formal function was chaired by Vezito Tetseo.
Sükrünye marathon, spot jump, Udothi, cock fight, catapult shooting with clay ball, sack rally race and Ewona Cukowi marked the day three of the festival. Meanwhile, January 13 and 14 will remain off following Children Rally programme in Phek.
The festival will conclude on January 15 with Dr. Chotisuh Sazo, Adviser, Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland as host.
