Dimapur, January 21 (MExN): Former DMC Councillor Lipok Pongen inaugurated the office of Dimapur Bengali Students’ Union (DBSU) here at Millenium Market on January 21.
Congratulating the union for establishing an office, Pongen said that the union has done much to unite the students of the Bengali community and acknowledged the union’s effort to work for the betterment of the society.
DBSU advisor Bishnu Bhattacharjee, who also spoke during the programme, called it a historic and red letter day for the union and Bengali community in the State and encouraged the students to continue working for the upliftment of the union and community.
Formed in February 2016, this is the first office of the union.
