Mokokchung, December 7 (DIPR): The monthly meeting District Planning and Development Board for Mokokchung district for the month of December was held on December 7 at the ADC (Planning) Conference Hall, Mokokchung. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal, who also welcomed the new members of the DPDB.
In connection with the earlier notification to all the departments in the district for submission of Personnel & Vehicle list for the upcoming election, the DC apprised those departments who have not yet submitted the list to do the same at the earliest. He also asked all concern to take confirmation from the Election Branch in case of any confusion.
In the meeting, the DC shared about the streamlining procedure regarding the ROs, AROs and Sector Magistrates during the upcoming Assembly Election. He also shared and gave a brief explanation on the functioning of VVPAT machine.
While requesting all the Head of Offices to work as a team for the smooth conduct during the upcoming election, Jaiswal maintained that all seriousness from all Heads of Offices is expected. All members were further asked to brief their respective staff regarding election duties. He warned of actions against any officials not complying with the rules of election and the related matters.
The Deputy Commissioner, who is also the President of the District Sports Council, informed the Board that the district would be competing with a contingent of 170 sports persons in 10 disciplines during the upcoming Nagaland Olympic to be held at Dimapur from December 12 to 16. Apprising the house of fund shortage for the same, he appealed for support from the Heads of Offices.
