
Wokha, May 3 (MExN): In pursuance to order received from Home Department, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha has notifies that all passenger vehicle/taxi plying to and fro from various points of Wokha district are permitted movement under certain conditions.
Drivers and attendant of the commercials taxi and the passengers should compulsorily wear mask at all times; the drivers and attendant should make mandatory provisions for hand sanitizers for use by the passengers; only passengers wearing masks be allowed to travel; the vehicle travelling for long distance should be mandatorily cleaned and disinfected before the start of every journey with new passengers, non-locals travelling to Wokha without proper ILP/Government official ID card should not be allowed to board the vehicle or pass any check gates; the rates of commercial taxi bound will be as pre-April revised rates; the number of passengers for all commercial vehicles should be a per the norms of social distancing- Sumo 5, Alto-3 and Ecco (6+1 seater)-4.
“The given provisions for all commercial passenger vehicles shall be monitored and enforced by a joint team comprising of District Administration, Police and DTO. This order is issued for strict implementation with effect from May 4 throughout Wokha district till further order,” the DC Wokha stated.
Entry of public visitors at DC office restricted
Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha has informed the public that in pursuance to order by the Chief Secretary, Nagaland and a measure to ensure adequate caution and social distancing on account of the preventive measures of surge of COVID-19 cases in the State, the entry of public visitors at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha will be restricted with immediate effect.
“Only cases which require immediate attention will be entertained. This order will remain in force till further order,” he stated.
