Dimapur, February 23 (MExN): The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) while expressing happiness over the safe return of Parimal Ghosh, owner of the Nagaland Cold Drinks, has cautioned against ‘extorting the business community.’

Ghosh reportedly went missing on February 21 and returned home on February 22.

In this connection, the DCCI in a press release issued by its Media Affairs, today cautioned “NGOs who are extorting business community under the guise of contribution.”

“If such incident comes into its knowledge, the DCCI would report it to the law enforcing agencies and action deemed fit will be initiated against the unscrupulous money mongering so called leaders and expose their NGOs,” it  said.

The DCCI has also directed business community not to cooperate with such demands in the larger interest of the business community.

Further, DCCI complimented the Dimapur Police and the Commissioner of Police for making all out effort for the “safe release” of the missing person. It further, requested the police that those behind the crime should be put behind bars and also to leave no stone unturned to give them maximum punishment possible under the law.

It also reiterated that “such anti social activities by anti social elements will not be tolerated anymore and will give all out cooperation to law enforcing agencies to root out such elements.”

DCCI also urged all business establishments to be vigilant and give all out cooperation to law enforcing agencies.
