DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 25 (MExN): The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI) has directed all business establishments to open their shops till 9:00pm with immediate effect in order to help shoppers during the festive season. A press release from the DCCI President, Akashe Zhimomi further directed all shops to put up Christmas decorations by December 1. It added that those not heeding the directive would be penalized. The DCCI further appealed to the Dimapur traffic police to explore using the 5th mile, Zoological Park, Thahekhu to Dhobinalla road during peak hours of the festive season to avoid traffic congestion due to the ongoing four lane works. In addition, the DCCI informed that this year as well, the best decorated shop in the “big shop category” will be awarded Rs 10,000 with citation. The second and third placed business establishment will be awarded Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively. Meanwhile, in the “small shop” category, the best decorated establishment will receive Rs 5,000, followed by Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,500 for the second and third placed shops.
