Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The Dimapur District Citizens' Forum (DDCF) in its general meeting on August 24 approved the following members as office bearers for the tenure 2019 - 2022. The members were nominated by the Search Committee set up for the said purpose on June 28 in the executive meeting.
A press release from the forum stated the DDCF will be led by Yibemo Kikon as the President, Khekuto Jakha and Meren Molier as Vice Presidents, Richard Haolai as General Secretary, Chandu Agarwal as Finance Secretary. The house empowered the new team to appoint one more Vice President and a Information/Press Secretary.
After thorough deliberation the house unanimously resolved and adopted the following resolutions: To endorse the stand of Ao Senden, CNTC and Tenyimia People Organisation which were earlier published in local press medias on the need for a separate apex body for the tribes of Nagaland; that the Office bearers and the executive members shall visit the District Hospital and other public service centres under Dimapur District at the earliest possible time; to reaffirm the stand of various civil societies and communities of Dimapur against the shifting of DC Office, Dimapur to Chümoukedima Village on June 4, 2015.
