DDLSA conducts legal awareness at Niu colony

DIMAPUR, July 22 (MExN): The Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) organized a legal awareness programme at Niu colony, Dimapur on July 18.  

DDLSA in a press release stated that Sangto Longchar, Panel Lawyer DDLSA spoke on basic legal rights, Yambemo Ngullie, Panel Lawyer DDLSA spoke on ‘consumer Rights and protection’, Visheli H Yeptho, Panel Lawyer DDLSA highlighted about ‘Domestic violence and the rights of women’, while Sentimenla, Panel Lawyer DDLSA spoke on ‘trafficking and commercial exploitation.’  

Summing up the programme, Ajongba Imchen, CJM Dimapur and Secretary DDLSA highlighted about the legal rights of the citizens and lamented that lack of knowledge about our rights are a stumbling block for all round development.  

Moatila Ao, Panel Lawyer DDLSA chaired the programme, which was attended by around 200 denizens of Niu colony.  

Aheto Zhimo, Deacon DSBC invoked God's blessing and Kisheto Katty, Chairman Niu colony, Burma camp delivered the welcome address.
