DIMAPUR, January 4 (MExN): As part of the DDLSA's Action Plan for January month, Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) visited Central Jail and District Jail on January 4.
The team was led by Ajongba Imchen, Secretary DDLSA and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dimapur along with the DDLSA Retainer Lawyer and Panel Lawyers.
During the visit, there was interaction session with the Under Trail Prisoners (UTPs). They were sensitized and made aware on rights of an accused person. Queries were made about their stay in the prison and whether the UTPs are facing any problems or hardships.
A brief highlight was given about DDLSA and the Panel lawyers working under it and on how to avail free legal services for those who fulfill the criteria which was made known to them.
