New Delhi, October 15 (MExN): The Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) held its 33rd annual meet at Nagaland House, New Delhi on October 5.
The chief guest, S Phangnon Konyak, Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha and a former executive of DENSU, shared her insights on the unique role of the Delhi-NCR Students’ Union, stated a press release received here.
She highlighted how DENSU not only prioritizes the welfare of students but also supports working professionals in the region.
Emphasizing the importance of unity, Konyak urged attendees to approach their futures with sincerity and to cultivate a cohesive mindset. She noted that societal progress is only achievable when each individual contributes their part and reminded everyone to always prioritize God in their endeavors, reinforcing the idea that spiritual grounding is essential for meaningful growth and development.
The guest of honour, Dr Anungla Imdong Phom, President of the Eastern Nagaland Gazetted Officers Association (ENGOA), spoke about the significant transitions in life, urging attendees to embrace these changes with a focused mindset.

Dr Anungla emphasised the importance of taking things “one step at a time, one bite at a time,” allowing for manageable progress in personal and community development. She encouraged the audience to leverage their experiences and insights to foster positive transformation within Nagaland society, urging them to return to their communities equipped with knowledge and a commitment to drive meaningful change.
Others present in the audience included Wennyei Konyak, NCS, Resident Commissioner of Nagaland House, Dr Hentok Phom, Joint Director and Nodal Officer of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, and Koulie Mere, Deputy Director & Senior PRO of the Government of Nagaland. Also present were Loipong Konyak, Senior Advisor of DENSU, along with the Presidents and colleagues of the Naga Students Union Delhi and its tribal units, President & Colleagues of the Delhi Ao Kaketshir Telongjem and Lotha Students Union Delhi.
The second session featured various artists including Moko Koza, KL Pamei, Azi Rudy Sangtam, Yemkong Somba Chang, Bem Khuvung, Werite Lohe, and Penguins in Tuxedos from St Stephens Delhi.
