Dimapur, August 12 (MExN): Training of Trainers (ToT) on dengue awareness for faith-based organisations under Chümoukedima was held at Police Baptist Church, Chümoukedima on August 10.
It was held in partnership with National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR), and NBCC’s Nagaland Development Outreach (NDO).
Vikiho, NDO representative highlighted the social responsibilities of the church towards the welfare of the community. He urged the church leaders to take active role in mobilizing the community to lead a healthier lifestyle. “The church not only has the responsibility to build a spiritually strong community but also the responsibility to build a physically and mentally healthy community,” he stated.
The resource persons of the training were Kikolul Khieya, Asst. Director, UVBDS, Dr. Rohan, CH Consultant, CIHSR, M. Ezewe, DVBDC.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Imtiwabong, DVBDO and the welcome address and invocation prayer were delivered by Rev. Manen, President, Pastor Fellowship Union, Chümoukedima.
