Kohima, December 27 (MExN): The District Education Officer (DEO), Kohima has informed all Heads of both Government and Private Educational Institutions under the District Education Officer, Kohima to forward cases of eligible and deserving teachers fulfilling the under mentioned criteria for National Teachers’ Award 2017:
1. Should be a recipient of State Award for teachers. 2. Headmaster/Principal with 20 years of regular teaching experience. 3. For teachers promoting Integrated Inclusive Education the eligibility will stand 10 years of classroom teaching experience and 15 years of service for Headmasters.
4. Category of teachers: i) Primary Teacher: Teaching up to Class VIII ii) Secondary Teacher: Teaching up to Classes IX to XII 5. Educational Administrators: S.I.S. and the staff of training colleges are not eligible for the Award. 6. Incomplete information and documents shall be summarily rejected.
