Dept of Fisheries bid farewell to Director

Kohima, March 2 (MExN): Department of Fisheries organized a farewell programme in honour of its outgoing Director Zenohol Angami on March 1 at the Directorate’s conference hall.  

The outgoing Director thanked the Almighty God for enabling him to carry out his duties and retire in good health. He also thanked the officers and staffs for their co-operation and support and challenged the staffs to achieve greater milestone in the days to come with sincerity, hardwork, dedication and perseverance.   The Commissioner and Secretary Fisheries in her speech lauded the outgoing Director for playing a pivotal role in successfully implementing various fishery developmental activities during his short tenure .The incoming director Kevisa Kense in his speech described the outgoing director as a humble and sincere officer who was equally at ease mingling with officers as well as with the lower grade staffs. He on behalf of himself and the department wished the outgoing director a prosperous and happy retired life.   Short speeches were also delivered by Yhunsenlo Kent, President NFTA, Dr. Vimezo Kire CEO,FFDA, R.Wati Imchen, Registrar, I. Khuyevi Sema, Asst. Engg and Viphrezo, Computor. The programme was chaired by C. Imtitongzuk, Joint Director, invocation pronounced by Mary Kithan while vote of thanks was delivered by Neitho-o Kuotsu, Deputy Director followed by a lunch which marked the end of the programme.
