
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 22 (MExN): The Nagaland State Government has asked all departments who have not yet designated Grievance Redressal cum nodal officers (Disability Affairs) to do the needful and intimate the action taken report to the Social Welfare Department at the earliest so that the compliance report on the matter can be filed in the Supreme Court.
In a notice issued through the DIPR, the government informed that in pursuance of Section 22 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 all the Administrative Heads of Departments/Head of Departments have been requested to see to it that every establishment maintain records of the persons with disabilities in relation to the matter of employment, facilities provided and other necessary information as may be prescribed by the Central Government. The departments have also been asked that every employment exchange maintain records of persons with disabilities seeking employment.
The records maintained are open to inspection at all reasonable hours by such persons as may be authorized in their behalf by the appropriate government.
