Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): The Department of History, Dimapur Government College (DGC), inaugurated its Master of Arts (MA) in History programme under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on August 10.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr T Tiakaba Jamir, Principal of Dimapur Government College, in the presence of heads of departments, faculty members, staff and newly admitted postgraduate students of the MA History programme.
The launch marks a significant milestone for the college and the Department of History as it expands its academic offerings to the postgraduate level under the framework of NEP 2020.
The department and the Principal expressed gratitude to Nagaland's Minister for Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along; Ex-Officio Director of Higher Education V Lovitoly Sema; the Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University; and officials of the Department of Higher Education for their support in making the programme a reality.
