Dimapur: 4th Pre-State Shooting Championship 2025 from May 27

DIMAPUR, MAY 10 (MExN): The Nagaland Rifle Association (NRA) has announced that the 4th Pre-State Shooting Championship 2025 in Small Bore Rifle and Pistol (NR) events will be held from May 27 to 31 at two venues in Dimapur: the Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy, Khelo India Centre, and the Aries Sports Complex Shooting Ranges, Bamunpukhuri-I.

The championship is being organized by the Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy under the aegis of the Nagaland Rifle Association, and will be conducted in accordance with National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) and ISSF rules and regulations.

Participation is open to registered shooters from affiliated District Rifle Associations, clubs, and academies across Nagaland. The competition will feature individual events across multiple categories based on age, including Sub-Youth (born in 2009 or after), Youth (born in 2006 or after), Juniors (born in 2004 or after), Masters (45–60 years), Senior Masters (60–70 years), Super Masters (70 years and above). 

Shooters in younger categories may compete in senior-level matches, though some restrictions apply to Sub-Youth participants.

Registrations will be accepted through affiliated District Associations, clubs, or academies. Normal entry will close at 6:30 PM on May 22, while late entries (with a triple entry fee) will be accepted up to 6:30 PM on May 26.

All participants must possess a valid Shooter ID issued by NRAI. Those yet to receive or apply for their Shooter ID have been advised to check the NRAI website for application status. Participants already holding an ID need not re-register.

Protest and Appeal Process
A protest fee of Rs 200 will be applicable, and appeals to the Jury of Appeal will require a fee of Rs 500. Fees will be refunded if the appeal is upheld.

Organizers have emphasized discipline on and off the field, noting that shooting practice in hotels is strictly prohibited. There will be no refund of entry fees in case of non-participation, and no requests for rescheduling or lane changes will be entertained. Participants must report to the range 90 minutes prior to their scheduled time.

In case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend the schedule or cancel events, with all decisions deemed final.
