Members of Molungtok Group clean Yimkong Sidewalk, located at the PWD-Forest junction in Dimapur on December 9.
Dimapur, December 9 (MExN): The Molungtok Group, consisting primarily of alumni from Dimapur College and senior members of Ao Students’ Union Dimapur, organised a social work at Yimkong Sidewalk, located at the PWD-Forest junction in Dimapur on December 9.
During the event, the group removed all weeds and plastic waste along the sidewalk, providing a facelift to a 200-meter-long wall with murals.
It was informed that the group plans to decorate the sidewalk for Christmas.
It is noteworthy that the Yimkong Sidewalk was adopted and continuously maintained by Ao Students' Union Dimapur in commemoration of its Golden Jubilee in 2018 in association with the Dimapur Municipal Council.
Meanwhile, the members of the Molungtok Group expressed satisfaction of being able to contribute in s small way to beautify Dimapur City. They added that this is one way of taking responsibility for a better Dimapur City as our own.
