Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): Dimapur Police AET Zone-I team led by ASI Itokhu arrested three NSCN (R) activists from Murgipatti while they were serving illegal notice to some members of the business community on August 18 around 9:00 am, according to a press release from Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police/PRO, Dimapur. The arrested persons were Col. Vicky Zhimo (42), Lieut Kikito Labo (28), Lieut Santosh D. Sangma (38). “Illegal notification” issued to various wholesale dealers as well as “Assignment Azah” issued to one person for collection of items from Rail Bazar were seized from their possession, the release said, adding a case has been registered at East PS and is being investigated.
On August 17 around 12:45 am, Dimapur Police Chumukedima check gate personnel recovered 60 packets of contraband ganja weighing about 600 kg from a truck bearing registration number NL07A 6077. The truck was seized and one person identified as Thingse Sangtam (32) was arrested. A case has been registered under NDPS Act at Diphupar PS and is being investigated, the PRO informed. The personnel were led by ABSI Ruovi Zao.
Meanwhile, Dimapur Police Anti Vehicle Theft Squad (AVTS) led by L/Naik Katovi recovered two motorcycles and arrested two persons on August 21. The duo has been identified as Sushoka Chishi (19), and Ohito Chishi (28). The PRO press release said that Sushoka Chishi is a notorious bike lifter and is wanted in other bike theft cases. The two bikes recovered were Yamaha R15 with engine number G3C780002851, chassis number MEIRG0612E0002851; TVS Apache with engine number 0E4LF2862880 and chassis number MD634KE46F2L27176. A case has been registered at Diphupar PS and is under investigation, it added.
