Dimapur public reminded on Anti-Dengue resolution

DIMAPUR, JULY 25 (MExN): The Office of the Assistant Director, Urban Vector Borne Disease Scheme (NVBDCP) on Wednesday issued a reminder on the resolution taken during observation of Anti-Dengue month in different colonies of Dimapur town with colony leaders/public by UVBDS Dimapur, to observe a “Weekly Dry Day’ Saturday starting from August 4 till November last covering all dengue season.  

Assistant Director, NVBDCP Kikolul Khieya in a press release has requested the colony leaders/public to stick to the resolution by emptying all water containers viz- coolers, water storage container, tyre, coconut shell, over head tanks, buckets, flower vases, bottles, refrigerator drip pan, bamboo stumps, or any container where water collects.  

It also reminded on the signs and symptoms of dengue fever such as sudden onset of fever, headache, muscles & joint pain, pain behind the eyes which worsens with eye movement, loss of sense of taste & appetite, measles like rash over the chest & upper limbs, vomiting. For confirmation of any suspected dengue fever, the public may contact Civil Hospital Dimapur, the press release stated.
