The Rotaract and Rotary Clubs of Dimapur along with the Dimapur Municipal Council conducted a sanitization drive in Dimapur on August 9.
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 9 (MExN): The Rotaract Club of Dimapur along with the Rotary Club of Dimapur in association with Dimapur Municipal Council conducted a sanitization drive on August 9 in Dimapur.
A press release from Nikhil Jain, President, Rotaract Club of Dimapur informed that the sanitization drives were carried out at public areas like Shyam Bazar, Signal Basti, Dhobinala Point, GS Road, Murgi Patti, Kalibari Road and Marwari Patti covering an area of almost 4 kms.
The sanitization was done to fight against the current pandemic in which the members of Rotaract Club of Dimapur and Rotary Club coordinated with the DMC workers to make sure every area was sanitized properly.
The Rotaract Club of Dimapur also presented a token under the banner SAMMAN—an initiative by Rotaract District 3240 to appreciate the frontline workers of Dimapur who helped in sanitizing the area. Four workers were presented with certificates by members of the Rotary Club of Dimapur.
The Rotaract Club of Dimapur and Rotary Club of Dimapur expressed gratitude to the Dimapur Municipal Council for extending support towards the project.
The sanitization drive was led by Heroto Yepthomi and Pankaj Giri of Rotaract Club of Dimapur; and Sumit Kumar Patni of Rotary Club of Dimapur. The project was closely observed by both the Presidents Kitoshi Zhimomi and Nikhil Jain.
