Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): Peace Channel organised transformative training on workplace etiquette and conflict resolution for teachers in Dimapur. The training was conducted at Evershine School, Dimapur with Fr Theotimus Lakra, Director of Don Bosco Youth & Educational Services (DBYES), as the resource person.
Speaking on the topic ‘Workplace Etiquette for Peaceful Coexistence’ Fr Theotimus Lakra offered both theoretical insights and practical guidance. Drawing from his extensive experience working with diverse groups, Fr Lakra emphasised that peaceful coexistence is not just an abstract ideal but a tangible goal that can be achieved through consistent and intentional actions.

He explained that workplaces—whether in schools, offices or community organizations are microcosms of society, and just as in broader society, respectful interactions are the foundation of a peaceful and efficient environment. He underscored the importance of recognizing human dignity in professional settings and provided practical insights into fostering a respectful and harmonious work atmosphere.

Fr Lakra illustrated how respect in the workplace prevents conflicts and promotes harmony. He encouraged participants to lead by example, applying these values in their communities, particularly in peace-building and conflict resolution initiatives.

A detailed briefing on the Peace Club's activities was presented, showcasing the ongoing efforts and successes of peace initiatives across various schools in Nagaland.

An evaluation and action plan session was led by Jose V Abraham. Participants were encouraged to reflect on the training, share insights and discuss how they could apply their learning in their respective schools and communities.
