DIMAPUR, JULY 16 (MExN): Dimapur defeated Mon in the finals of the senior inter district cricket tournament organized by the Nagaland Cricket Association at the Sovima cricket ground.
Dimapur won the final by 168 runs to lift the trophy. Dimapur won the toss and chose to bat first, scoring 300 runs, losing 5 wickets in 40 overs. The first innings saw a record partnership of 186 runs between Sedezhalie Rupreo (67) and Nitish Lohchab (141).
Mon were bowled out for 132 runs in 26.3 overs.
Tahmeed Rahman of Dimapur was declared as the player of the tournament for his outstanding performance with both bat and ball.
