Zunheboto, April 19 (DIPR): An awareness programme on Disaster Management for police personnel was conducted during the second day at Zunheboto on April 19.
Assistant Commandant, NDRF, Ajay Bahadur highlighted about the role of Police personnel when any incident occurs especially during earthquakes and landslides. Sub Inspector, NDRF, Pankaj Kumar led the mock drill demonstration. Arms and tools to be used during rescue operations were also displayed to the participants.
A video on how NDRF conducts rescue operations during earthquake, floods, landslides, cyclones, tsunami and industrial accidents were also displayed to the police personnel.
Administration led by ADC, Nungsangmenla Imchen, Police personnel from DEF, Zunheboto, 8th NAP, Naltoqa, Traffic police, Home Guards and Civil Defence attended the programme. SDRF, Zunheboto were also present during the disaster management awareness programme.
