Phek, February 25 (MExN): District Health Society Phek conducted Village Health Nutrition Day (VHND) with medical camp, awareness programs on different health issues and immunization in the villages of Kizari, Kutisu and Tuzatsu.
The team comprised of Chief medical Officer Phek Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru, Dy. CMO Phek Dr. Ritu Thurr, District Program Officer Phek (NVBDCP) Dr. Neisakho along with the School Health Program (SHP) Phek, Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), RNTCP and DAPCU Phek.
Altogether 289 patients were treated and given free medicines. Ante –Natal Check up (ANC) were done during the programme. Blood test for HIV/AIDS, Malaria and sputum test for TB was carried out during the camp.
A press note added that these villages are difficult to reach and accessible only in dry season with hardly motorable roads.
