
Peren, April 13 (MExN): The Chief Medical Officer of Peren, Dr. Ngangshimeren recently urged the health workers in the district to cross check their reports, pointing out that most of the health units’ reports are degrading rather than improving.
During the District Review Meeting held on April 7 at the CMO’s office here, Dr. Ngangshimeren also informed about the Mother and Child Tracking System (MCTS), informed a press release issued by District Media Officer, CMO office, Peren. He said that the concerned staffs need to verify the bank accounts and Aadhaar numbers of the beneficiaries. He further highlighted about the upcoming activity - World Malaria Day to be held on April 25, for which sanitation drive will be carried out in the District Headquarters. The CMO also highlighted on the absentees of the last review meeting.
Dr. Tiala, Deputy CMO, gave a review on HMIS performance report for the month of February 2016. She also highlighted the names of the health units which are not performing and pointed out the areas where there is need for improvement. She urged the health workers to be sincere and be responsible.
Meanwhile, Dr. Khrielasanuo, DPO, RCH /UIP highlighted about the switch of Trivalent Oral Polio Vaccines (tOPV) to Bivalent Oral Polio Vaccines (bOPV), which will start from April 25, 2016. She stated that April 22 will be the last day to use the Trivalent Oral Polio Vaccines, after which, the remaining will be destroyed. She also highlighted about the Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine which is injectable and will be given along with the 3rd dose of Pentavalent Vaccine and OPV.
The meeting was attended by the District Programme Officers, Medical Officers and health workers from the Health Centers, District and Block Program Management Unit Staff, NHM.
The next review meeting has been scheduled for May 5.
