District Task Forces directed to curb ‘non-essential movement’

Kohima, May 8 (MExN): In an order issued on May 8, Principal Secretary (Home) R Ramakrishnan noted that “non-essential movement of people is continuing into and from the containment zone to other districts in the state,” violating the May 3 order which declared most of Dimapur and Kohima areas as containment zones. As such, it directed the District Task Forces of Kohima and Dimapur to check and restrict non-essential movement of people in the containment zones.

Further, it stated that the movement of inter-state transit passengers may be allowed as per provisions of the revised standard operating procedures (SOPs) for returnees and travellers entering Nagaland which was issued on April 29.
