DLSAs conduct extempore speech competition on ‘Fundamental Duties’

Kohima, March 4 (MExN): To impart knowledge and understating on the ‘Fundamental Duties’ to school students, the District legal Service Authorities (DLSAs) conducted extempore speech competition with Legal Literacy Club (LLC) members in all the districts.
Wokha DLSA organised the competition at DCs Conference Hall on February 28. Kimeri Y Tungoe, Springdale School, Yanpolumi Kikon, Grace School and Lirhoni Tungoe, Springdale School won the first, second and third prizes respectively.
Altogether, 13 participants from Christian Model High School, Grace School, Government Higher Secondary School, JNV Chukitong and Springdale School participated in the competition.
The judges were Khrievono Seletsu, JMFC/Secretary WDLSA and Panel Lawyer Renbonthung Tsanglao. Shanchobeni P Lotha, District Project Assistant gave introductory note on ‘Fundamental Duties.’
The programme was chaired by Renbemo Kithan, PLV WDLSA. Legal pamphlets were also distributed to the participants and teachers.
Tuensang DLSA conducted the competition at CKS Hall on February 28 with eight LLC member participants. Bharul Islam, St Joseph School won the first prize and Thsalila, Eklaveya Model Residential School and Betichemden, EMRS won second and third prize respectively followed by six consolation prizes. The prize was presented by Victo Sema, Chairman Tuensang DLSA.
Phek DLSA conducted competition at Phek and Pfütsero. On February 22, the competition was conducted at Christian Home School LLC members at PTC Hall Phek.
James Ovung, SDPO Phek, Namang Chang, SDO Phek and Kudukhoto Tetseo, Head Master Christian Home School Phek were the judges of the competition. In total 27 students participated in the programme. In the competition Lhouzhetho bagged first position, Shepotso second and Dzuthono third position respectively.
On February 28, Phek DLSA conducted the competition at Government Higher Secondary School, LLC Pfütsero. Keneinuo Swuro, District Project Assistant highlighted the importance of Fundamental Duties and in order to maintain harmony and peace and encourage the feeling of brotherhood and oneness among the citizens following the fundamental duties play a vital role.
Samuel Ritse APP Phek, Kedokolu Khape Headmistress Government Higher Secondary School, Pfütsero were the panel of judge. 61 students participated wherein first position was bagged by Weneipe Koza, 2nd position by Shevezo Puro and 3rd position by Sewe Medo.
Longleng DLSA conducted the competition on February 28 at District Court Conference Hall. Tthe panel of judges was Anguto, APP Longleng and S Phomngai Phom. Three participants from each from the six LLCs took part in the competition whereby the first prize was bagged by Ayentohla, Shamakok Mission School, second prize by Chingphu from Good Shepherds School and third prize by Chubum from Shamakok mission School.
