The District Mission Authority (DMA), SSA Kohima today distributed science kits to 74 educational institutions under Kohima district.
This was distributed during a workshop of science laboratory equipment for upper primary science teachers organised by DMA, SSA, Kohima.
The science kits, numbering 114 items, were funded by Sarva Shisha Abhiyan in a bid to help develop the joy of learning science subjects.
Kohima Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Soundararajan called on the teachers to make the best use of the provided facilities and enable the students to get maximum benefit. He also urged the teachers to take good care of the equipments and use it to fulfill its real purpose.
Tali Jamir, Deputy Mission Director, SMA, SSA, Nagaland said the science kits, meant for Classes VI, VIII and VIII, will help students acquire scientific knowledge with relative ease.
Instructions on the usage of the kits were presented by Dr. Zhanuo Thakro, senior lecturer DIET Chiechama.
