DMI St Joseph Global students take role of good samaritans

Students and faculty of DMI St Joseph Global School with the beneficiary after the brief programme held at the school premises on November 20.

 

Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): The students of DMI St Joseph Global School contributed around Rs 20,000 along with essential commodities and clothing to one of the flood-affected victims on November 20 at the school premises.


A press release received here stated the school first identified one of the flood-affected places in Dimapur and informed the children to contribute in any form like money, groceries, clothing, toiletries, etc for the rehabilitation of some of the flood-affected victims.


Students donated their pocket money and essential commodities to Margaret, a resident of Purana Bazar in Dimapur. 


Margaret’s house was washed away by the flash flood and she had been staying with one of her relatives ever since the incident. The principal and the administrator of the school said it was an initiative of the school to inculcate in children the sense of social responsibility and tendency to help the needy.
