Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): A mobile patrol party of Dimapur police on February 10 caught two extortionists from NRL petrol station, NH 29.
The Superintendent of Police (SP), Dimapur in a press note informed that the extortionist were identified as Hoshito Chishi (34 years) , s/o Khezevi of Khermito village, Zunheboto and Akai Zhimo (26 years), S/o Kashito of Setami village, Zunheboto.
The accused were arrested while threatening and forcibly demanding money and the vehicle documents from the occupants of the vehicle B/regd no NL 07A-1120 (Tata). The vehicle came down to Dimapur from Tseminyu to collect building materials for a client. For further investigation, a case has been registered.
The note also stated that in another incident, acting on the FIR received on February 10, 2011 about a burglary at NST station, Dimapur by miscreants who broke the office of the Yard Master through the window and forcibly broke open a chest and looted
Rs 90,000.
Dimapur police apprehended two suspects who were identified as Lanuzulu (41 years) of Merangkong village, Mokokchung and Moa Jamir (40 years) of Wameken village, Mokochung on February 11, the SP said in the press note.
