
DIMAPUR, APRIL 22 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) today issued a ‘code of directives’ to government schools, teachers and students for adherence within its jurisdiction. These codes are as per the directives of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) issued on April 21, stated DNSU in a press note issued through its Secretary Education and Statistics, Daniel Semp and Secretary Debate and Symposium, Akuto Yepthomi. As per the codes, the DNSU has directed all the schools to maintain strict attendance register along with photo of the teachers and asked all the employed teachers to discipline their duties. The Union will conduct surprise visits periodically and will not tolerate any bogus and proxy teachers, it said adding that, stringent actions will be taken against the offenders.
DNSU also cautioned the students that those found loitering in the town with school uniforms, use of intoxicants and indulging in “immoral activities” will be sternly dealt with. The union also asked all the educational institutions to disallow sale of any tobacco products within 100-metres of the school premises.
