Don Bosco College Kohima holds 4th DBCK quiz time

Kohima, August 18 (MExN): Don Bosco College Kohima organized its 4th annual ‘DBCK Quiz Time’ at the DBHSS hall with Supongnukshi, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest, Government of Nagaland as the special invitee on August 17.
The invitee in his speech lauded the Don Bosco institutions of providing quality education to the youth of Nagaland. He appreciated the dedicated staff of the college for producing good university results.
He further expressed that the number of unemployed educated youth of the state is increasing rapidly and state machinery alone cannot provide jobs.
He exhorted the students to be diligent in planning for the future. In this regard, he said, “God has a plan for you, recognize His plans and respond to it, and by this you will find fulfillment.”
He further encouraged the students to be the best in whatever they do.
In the DBCK Quiz time, Sarongthun 3rd semester from department of Education was adjudged the winner of this year’s Quiz Time, while Moilen Tom, 1st semester and Alovih, 5th semester from department of Political Sciences secured the 2nd and 3rd position.
The winners were awarded with cash prizes of Rs 5000, 3000 and 2000 along with certificates.
The release stated that DBCK Quiz Time is a yearly event held in three stages, where all the students of the college participate in the first two stages, and top 10 students are selected for the grand finale.
The quiz masters were Jarani Mao, Ruth Vizo, Vilaneinuo Agnes and Vane Dhome as tabulators; Seyievizo as score keeper; time keeper was Heutwateung.
Dr Imtinaro Longkumer was the moderator. At the start of the event, Principal of DBCK welcomed and felicitated the special invitee and Vesazolu chiizho, BA 1st semester performed a song. Vote of thanks was proposed by Shiirhonouo Tsiirho, member, DBCK Quiz Time 2019.
