The Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK) today honoured 155 graduated students from the institution this year.

Through its 5th Graduation Day at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS) Auditorium, the graduated students have been honored with certificate and memento in the presence of Prof. N. Venuh, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema . The 6th semester students of DBCK secured 98.9% pass percentage in the Nagaland University exam this year.

Kezienuo, Asst. professor and Controller of Examination, DBCK informed that a total of 156 appeared the NU degree examination in which 155 students have successfully qualified.

Department wise result includes; Education – 27, English- 29, History- 30, Political Science- 51 and Sociology- 18.
Ankita Priyadarshni of English Department from DBCK with 6.96 CGPA secured first rank in Nagaland University examination. 
 
‘Adopt positive attitude’
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Venuh called upon the graduated students to adopt a positive attitude in whatever they do.

“To be successful men and women, your determination, your attitude and self discipline are very important,” he said.

He maintained that determination, positive attitude and self discipline will determine the successful journey in their life.

He also asked the students to be clear about what they want to become, adding that it become very difficult to succeed until unless one posses positive attitude.

“Our society, is such, today, is a confused society. Nothing is very clear,” he said and called upon the students to analyze the ground realities and try to go according to the changes taking place in the present society.

People who have negative attitude will never go forward, he reminded the students. Prof. Venuh also told the students to be a respected and responsible person in the society and at the same time to be honest and sincere in their approach for a peaceful and prosperous life.

 “Don Bosco has changed my life for the better,” said Nagaland University topper Ankita Priyadarshni in her valedictorian speech.

She extended gratitude to all the teachers for their efforts and enable the students to succeed in their academic career.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Sobin Karki while Fr. T.P James, principal DBHSS invoked God's blessing.

Welcome address was delivered by Fr. Dr. P. Suresh, principal DBCK.

The occasion also witnessed special numbers from Jennifer and Elizabeth & friends.

Zavelü Vero, Dean of Student Affairs DBCK proposed vote of thanks.
