Don Bosco Tech Northeastern region meet held

Dimapur, September 23 (MExN): Don Bosco Tech, Dimapur hosted Don Bosco Tech regional meeting of Northeastern region from September 21 to 23 at AIDA, Don Bosco School campus.  

Fr. Nestor Guria Salesian, Provincial of Dimapur Province and Fr. A.M Joseph, founder director of Don Bosco Tech Society and other dignitaries and representatives from Don Bosco Tech skill training centre in the region attended the event. Vision for Northeast- an inside perspective was delivered by Bro Sunny Joseph, Director of AIDA & Province Coordinator, Dimapur.  

On the second day, Khekiye Sema IAS delivered the keynote address on the topic “Skilled North East-Role of Government, civil society and youth”. He spoke about youth and employment and stated that employment disaster is one of the most important problems faced by Northeast. He pointed out that there is not enough infrastructure and industrial activity in the Northeast.  

A panel discussion on ‘Youth, Skill Development and Empowerment Opportunities in North East’ was also held where Dr. Jerry Thomas Director of Bosco Institute Jorhat, Levi Sumi from CAN Youth, and Renthungo James from Maple Society shared.
