Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): The State Level Science Fair 2022, organized by the Directorate of School Education, Nagaland was held with Thavaseelan K, Principal Director, School Education as the special guest at Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Dimapur on October 7.
Altogether 11 participants from 11 districts participated in the science seminar and 30 participants from 10 districts participated in the Science exhibition, stated a DIPR report.
The special guest exhorted the students about the 8 Tenets of life. He encouraged the students to keep faith in God, respect their parents, take responsibility for whatever comes in their life, inculcate good habits, work hard, and to be humble, nice, and kind to everyone.
According to the DIPR report, Tsupongla Shillen of Minister’s Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School, Kohima was declared the winner of the State Level Science seminar 2022, while Jennifer Dukru of Bishop Abraham Memorial School, Phek, and Shelly K Kiba of Olympic Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto came second and third respectively.
In the State Level Science Exhibition (Individual Category), Kumdang Naro of Wela Foundation School, Tuensang was declared the winner, while Jemmenaro Walling of Bridges Academy, Changtongya Mokokchung, and Vebulu Shijoh of Bishop Abraham Memorial School, Phek bagged the second and third positions.
In the State Level Science Exhibition (Group Category), Sourav Das and Suman Das of Bethesda Higher Secondary School Dimapur were declared the winner. Archita Ghosh and Viani of St Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Dimapur and Thungdy Tonen and Welen Monyu of Wela Foundation School, Tuensang were adjudged second and third place winners.
The panel of judges for this year’s State Level Science Fair were Onongoto Soleho, Chief Mentor, Innovation Hub & Space Education Centre; Vetho Lohe, PGT, SD Jain Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, and Ayeto Swu, Graduate Teacher (Science), GHSS Singrijan.
