Tuensang, June 11 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of Tuensang DPDB was held at the DC’s conference hall Tuensang under the chairmanship of Chairman DPDB & Parliamentary Secretary, S. Heno. At the outset the vice chairman DPDB & DC, Tuensang, Y. L Jami welcomed the chairman DPDB & Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries, Printing & Stationery, S. Heno and the members present in the meeting and said that the Nyaknyulem cum State Road Show will be held on July 31, 2009. He informed that chairman NEPED would be visiting Tuensang on June 13, 2009. In this regard the DC advised development departments to be in station. After reviewing the last meeting minutes the board discussed and resolved the following agenda.
The board also approved the border area development programme 2009-10 (BADP) submitted by Legislators of 56 Noklak A/C and 57 Thonoknyu A/C, Rs. 70 lakhs each. Opening of SBI branch at Noksen SDO (C) Hq was also approved by the board and decided to forward to the authority concerned.
DIS Tuensang shared the problems and difficulties of opening pass-book bank account in the SBI Tuensang during the meeting. The DC directed representatives of SBI Tuensang staff not to do the same till further order from higher authorities.
On redeployment of teachers in Tuensang district the DC and DEO clarified that such matter would be decided by the School Education, Nagaland and not at the district level.
The board decided to award the HSLC toppers during the next DPDB meeting. S. Heno donated Rs. 10,000/- to be given away to the toppers. The board approved the estimates submitted by the EE, Roads & Bridges, Tuensang for construction of three major bridges in Tuensang that include Phunchi River Bridge between Yimrep and Litem under Noksen, Chukla River Bridge between Thoksur and Chirpur under Thonoknyu sub-division and Yaya River Bridge between Leengkonger and Mangko EAC hq under Shamatore sub-division. The Board decided to forward to the department concerned for necessary action.
On opening of new private Eden School at Yangli Mission Centre by the house, the board decided to recommend to the department concerned for necessary action. Grand-in-aid to the following schools in Tuensang town were approved and recommended to the department concerned - Akum Imlong School, Christ King School, Mt. Carmel School and Montessori Kids Care School.
