Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): The Delhi Public School Dimapur observed its 18th Annual Sports Day on March 4 at the school ground with Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur as the special guest.
A press release from the DPS Dimapur stated that the DC Dimapur in his address drew examples from his life and encouraged the students to balance their academics, sports and other co-curricular activities inorder to excel in life.
He also gave away the trophies and shields to the Overall Champions: Tizu House, Best March Past: Tizu House, Best Girl Athlete: Pulokali Achumi and Best Boy Athlete: Kunal Singh Rajput.
Earlier, the event started with welcome address by BK Nanda, Principal, DPS Dimapur and the march past parade of the four houses – Dikhu, Milak, Tizu and Zungki. Besides the Inter-house competition in athletic events, inter-house solo singing competition was also conducted.
Others who attended the function included SI Jamir, Chairman, DiPSS, Dr Aotoshi, Pro Vice Chairman, DPS Dimapur, Shillula, Board Member, DiPSS and parents.
