
Aiming to promote art and creativity which is an integral part of holistic development, Delhi Public School, Dimapur (DPSD) organized the 1st Inter School Dance Competition, Nagaland on October 13. It was an open genre competition where the participants were judged on the parameters of performance, choreography and originality, theme and music, costume and expression.
B K Nanda, Principal, DPS, Dimapur in a press release said that altogether 6 schools participated: Maple Tree School, Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School, Christina Memorial Higher Secondary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya Project Sewak Dimapur and Delhi Public School.
DPSD won the competition followed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Project Sewak Dimapur and Christina Memorial Higher Secondary School as the 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively.
The panel of judges for the event was Felix Mathew, Professional Choreographer and Fitness Instructor based in Dimapur, Priya Raut, Directorof Arts and Motion Dance and Fitness Academy, Burma Camp Dimapur, Pallavi Engtipi, Director of Stepping Stones Dance Academy, Bokajan.
