Lumami, July 23 (MExN): A book titled ‘A Connect: Stories From The Tribal Hills’ written by Dr. Anthony V Richa was released by Prof. Pardeshi Lal, Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University in the presence of faculty and officers recently at Lumami.
According to a press release, the author revealed that the book was a result of three years of labour involving patient listening to elders and interactions with intellectuals. The book carries nine stories attempting to connect the past with the present and then the future, it was stated.
Prof. Pardeshi Lal showered praises on the author for the creativity and concern for his society, saying that the sources of connecting the dots of evolutionary history of any society are the language/dialect and the folk tales.
The author has already published a collection of poems titled ‘Awakened Lines: A Collection of Poems’. Currently, he is serving as the Deputy Registrar at Nagaland University. He had previously served as lecturer and principal of Model Christian College.
