Honoured by the felicitation programme of the staff of the Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen training in honour of him, Dr. Nicky Kire, Parliamentary Secretary Law & Justice, Land Revenue and Labour & Employment at the Directorate Complex today expressed his gratitude to the Staff in his first interaction with them.
Stressing on the importance of being doers and not just talkers he urged the staff to give their best in their duty towards the department in building and helping the society to a bright future. Promising to bring changes in the department by addressing to the problems faced by the department, he welcomed the staff to highlight the problems faced by the department in writing, quoting the proverb, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” he further added, “Do your duty without expecting accolades or rewards but being selfless in your duty towards the people.” The Parliamentary Secretary also promised a personal interaction with the District officers in chalking out a blueprint to take the department to new heights.
The programme was chaired by Muthingnyuba Sangtam, Director, Employment & Craftsmen training, invocation was pronounced by Veshezo Chakesang Asst. Director, Employment& Craftsmen training while Y. Vandanshan Lotha Addl. Director delivered the welcome address. Y. Kikon (NCS) Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Employment & Craftsmen Training gave a short speech. Following an introduction of the staff members, Chingnyak Konyak proposed the Vote of Thanks.
Following the felicitation programme the Parliamentary Secretary inaugurated a 5KW Solar Power Plant for the department, speaking on the eve of the inauguration, Er. T.S. Angami, Director New & Renewable Energy, Kohima stated that solar plants of different capacities would be installed in 47 offices in the State, two solar plants with 100 KW capacity have already been installed at the Civil Secretariat and Assembly Secretariat.
