Patkai, March 20 (MExN): Dr Vivee Peseye, the Dean of Margaret Shishak School of Music (MSSM), Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) on March 19 was conferred the first Annual Alumni Excellence Award.

Dr Peseye was given the award – a cash prize and a citation, on the sideline of the inaugural of ‘Tuisem A Shishak Annual Lecture’ series which kicked off at the PCC’s at Bundrock auditorium on March 19. 

An alumna of the college, Dr Peseye has been associated with the college for over four decades and has been serving as the Dean of MSSM since its inception.  After graduating from Patkai, she did her Master of Music from Biola University California and the Doctor of Philosophy (Church Music), from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Texas, USA.

Established to provide quality music education for North-East India and beyond, MSSM is considered one of the best music colleges in India offering both Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music (Honours) Degree, with focus on Western classical, sacred, and ethnic music. 

The Annual Alumni Excellence Award was instituted by the Alumni Association PCC to recognise the contributions made former students in various fields. It was informed that the PCC have over 7000 Alumni spread across the world.
