Dimapur, Sept 4 (MExN): The Dhansiripar Sub-Divisional Public Organizations has issued a note on the September 3 incident and circumstances leading to the blockade of the Zeliangrong rally by residents of Dhansiripar sub-division.
A note from the union’s executives stated that ‘some few days back’ the Zeliangrong Baudi and the All Zeliangrong students’ Union claimed that land under the sub-division was traditionally the Zeliangrong community’s. This is an unfounded and inflammatory statement, the DSDPO claimed. The DSDPO also claimed that Dhansiripar sub-division was never under Peren district. The organization stated that such assertions would not be tolerated, “without our permission in the near future.”
It also mentioned that “bring sheer numbers of public” would neither intimidate nor solve any problem and advised to practice “practical and positive attitude.”
