
Dimapur, February 4 (MExN): The organizer of the Indian Idol concert – Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU)has disclosed today that it will be requesting the Sony Entertainment Television (SET) to hold audition in Dimapur for the next upcoming Indian Idol.
The union in a press note today issued by its president H Toniho Achumi and organizing secretary Hutoshe Kits stated that Shreeram Chandra – Indian Idol 2010, Bhoomi Trevedi – finalist Indian idol 2010 and anchor of India Radio Mirchi will be accompanied by executive chief of Sony Entertainment Television India Pvt. Ltd, Suraj Rosario.
The press note also added: “...while his stay in Nagaland, he will interact with the local artists and study their overall performances in the field of music.”
Moreover, eight other renowned singers and musicians will also be performing at the concert. The concert is scheduled on Valentine’s Day, February 14 at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur, it mentioned.
“Unlike other shows we are optimistic that the shows will be one of its kinds in the history of Nagas as the mega concert is coinciding with the Valentine’s Day,” the union stated.
However, DSSU also lamented that as published earlier in local dailies, Mayang Chang who was supposed to enliven the event as host of the show will not be able to be present due to his contract with SET and "unavoidable schedule".
The DSSU in the press note has also requested all concerned citizen to 'regard, respect and show hospitality in order to make the event successful'.
