DTFI Tuensang reviews Measles-Rubella campaign preparedness

Tuensang, August 21 (MExN): The second meeting of District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI) for Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC) to review campaign preparedness was held on August 21.  

Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, L Jamithung Lotha, who chaired the meeting, reviewed the activities of DTFI on the MR campaign. He appreciated the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Tuensang and his team for completing their campaign works and also assured every possible help for the success of the campaign in the district, stated a DIPR report.  

During the meeting, the DPO (RCH-UIP) Tuensang, Dr. Tungchanpeni highlighted on how the team carried out the campaign works in the last one and half month. She mentioned that Tuensang district has covered 58 health units in 8 blocks, including 40th Assam Rifles Unit Hospital and 3rd NAP Unit Hospital.  

The number of people trained in the MR campaign under the district is: 17 medical officers, 130 ANMs and vaccinators, 71 supervisors and 150 ASHAs. Five Administrative Officers and 178 teachers were deployed for Education department and its school listings. Block Level Micro - plan review meetings are being held in all the blocks, it was informed. CMO Tuensang, Dr. T Pangjung Sangtam and all wards’ chairman Tuensang, Thoji Chang also spoke during the meeting.
