Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): Dimapur Positive Women Association (D+WA) plans to observe the occasion of ‘International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2021’ on May 16 by lighting memorial candles in 100 families at the same time.
The families will be lighting the AIDS Memorial Candles at 5:30 pm and observe with one minute silence, thus keeping the sense of solidarity with the departed. D+WA through its media cell invited friends and well wishers to join the event under the theme “We remember, we take action. We live beyond HIV.”
“COVID-19 has prevented us from coming together but the sense of solidarity with the memory of our dear departed ones has not deter us from observing the day as sacred,” the association said.
