Kohima, February 13 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Tobu, Mudongoyi Chuzho passed away on February 12 in his official residence.
Late Chuzho had served as EAC Mon, Tseminyu and Chetheba later promoted as SDO (Civil) posted at Peren and also served the State government as Deputy Secretary, Labour and Employment and was serving as ADC Tobu till his demise on Friday.
Mourning his demise, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister (Dy CM) and Home Minister Y Patton on Saturday said that late Chuzho joined the government service as EAC in 2006 and has been diligent and sincere in his assigned duties. In his death, the state has lost yet another young officer, he added.
On behalf of the department, the Dy CM conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
MHSU: In a separate statement, the Mopong Hongkong Students Union (MHSU) expressed sadness over the sudden demise of the ADC. Terming the late administrator as someone who served the people of Tobu and Mopong Hongkong with dedication and sincerity, the MHSU said that, his demise “is a great lost for Nagas in general and Tobu Area in particular.”
The Union prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and extended its condolences to the bereaved family members.
KU: The Konyak Union (KU) stated that the entire Konyak region was shocked at the sudden demise of the ADC. “His selfless sacrifice and commitment towards uplifting the common interest of the people and his contribution towards development in every field has been much appreciated by the Konyak community,” the KU stated. While acknowledging his contribution and concern, the KU said that “his untimely death has caused a vacuum amongst the Naga administrators which will be difficult to fill.”
It conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for peace for the departed soul.
Meanwhile, DUDA Advisor N Bongkhao Konyak also condoled the demise on Saturday. “Today, our people have lost one of the finest administrators, young and energetic officer, who has dedicated his best service for the people of Tobu Sub-Division,” he stated in a condolence message received here.
His simplicity and humble nature in discharging his duty shall always be cherished by our people, Bongkhao said adding “We also assure you all, our possible help to the bereaved family in the future and shall always remain close to our hearts.”
In a separate message, Thenucho Tunyi, former minister and speaker Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) stated “I know Müdongoyi from the many encounters we have had over the years. He was a capable and dedicated officer, calm but diligent in anything he sets his mind to. Wherever he went, he developed good relationships with people and given the responsibility as a public servant, he made sure that his actions and decisions uphold sincerity and justice.”
Thenucho described him as a man of strong will, adding “he never compromised with his work or yielded to pressure.
His honest, kind hearted, jovial, and hard working personality made him a person who was truly admired. His contributions to the community will be long remembered by the people.”
He conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed to rest in peace.
Neiba Kronu, Minister Planning & Co-ordination, Land Revenue, Parliamentary Affairs expressed shock and grief at the ADC’s demise and described him as “a dedicated, humble and sincere administrative officer.”
“I express my deepest condolence to the bereaved family at this moment of grief. May his soul rest in peace,” Kronu wrote.
